NEW ZEALAND MEN’S FOURSOMES & GRANT CLEMENTS MEMORIAL GOLF TOURNAMENT

These two prestigious events that are held in February have had a slow start to receiving entries, especially the NZ Men’s Foursomes.
However there has been some movement this week, with one week left for registrations to be received.

NZ Men’s Foursomes
The New Zealand 5 entries to date with the top contenders being the Spearman-Burn brothers Peter & Thomas, from  Maungakeikei -  Matty and Joe Tiplady and from Te Awamutu  Justin Morris & Mathew Schofield.

Grant Clements Memorial Golf Tournament
The Grant Clements tournament has 28 entries to date and features the Spearman-Burn brothers – Peter and Thomas  (Miramar).
this event accepts registration from players on a low handicapwith a range extending from +2.6  to  2.8. 6 of 12 Golf Districts have registered teams that include great support of the Otago and Southland Districts. It is great to welcome back Hawkes Bay and Wellington to the District Teams competition, both returning after a brief absence.

Volunteers

A good number of members have registered as volunteers for tee starting, spotting and other tasks associated with the tournaments.
A roster lost will be compiled and sent to you for your agreement of the tasks and dates/times involved.

Billets
Thank you to those who have registered to provide billet accommodation for players who need such assistance.
You will be advised of the player(s) for billeting for you to confirm your offer.

Trundlers
As in previous years members are requested to loan their trundle(s) for use by the Players. Golf Trundlers  MUST be clearly identified by a label or such. Arrangements will be made for someone to manage the issue and return of the Golf Trundlers.

Your Golf during the Tournaments
Ray will be contacting other courses to invite them to offer special playing rights to our members during the days of the NZ Men’s Foursomes and Grant Clements Memorial Golf Tournament.
