Mt Maunganui Golf Course Golf Holes
Hole 1 (par 4)
Par | Blue Tees | Yellow Tees | White Tees |
---|---|---|---|
4 | 330m | 292 | 316 |
Aim down the right side of the fairway as contour of the land will bring the ball back to the centre of fairway. Green is fairly level, slopes from back left to front right.
Hole 2 (par 4)
Par | Blue Tees | Yellow Tees | White Tees |
---|---|---|---|
4 | 349m | 301 | 327 |
Aim down the left side of fairway as it slopes left to right. Play to be short of fairway bunker or big hitters can try and land beyond the bunker. Green has a lot of slope from back to front. Leave your ball below the hole to leave an uphill putt.
Hole 3 (par 4)
Par | Blue Tees | Yellow Tees | White Tees |
---|---|---|---|
4 | 346m | 310 | 323 |
The green slopes from back left to front right. Try and leave your ball below the hole for an easier putt. Avoid your approach being right of the green.
Hole 4 (par 3)
Par | Blue Tees | Yellow Tees | White Tees |
---|---|---|---|
3 | 140m | 124 | 135 |

Hole 5 (par 5)
Par | Blue Tees | Yellow Tees | White Tees |
---|---|---|---|
5 | 470m | 404 | 419 |
Fairway has a ridge running through it with a left to right feed. If you are a long hitter the ball will move off to the right. Placement of second shot is dependant on pin placement. Very tight entrance to green so laying up is an option to consider.
Hole 6 (par 5)
Par | Blue Tees | Yellow Tees | White Tees |
---|---|---|---|
5 | 462m | 388 | 431 |
Tight driving hole. Shape of hole runs right to left then left to right and uphill to the green. Keep ball in play, big hitters can hit the ball down to the plateau that takes the dogleg out of play.
Hole 7 (par 4)
Par | Blue Tees | Yellow Tees | White Tees |
---|---|---|---|
4 | 380m | 304 | 362 |
Left to right shaped hole. Favours a left to right off the tee. Start the ball at the fairway bunker with slight right movement. Green slopes from right to left so pays to keep the ball below hole if possible.

Par | Blue Tees | Yellow Tees | White Tees |
---|---|---|---|
4 | 370m | 357 | 358 |

Hole 11 (par 4)
Par | Blue Tees | Yellow Tees | White Tees |
---|---|---|---|

Hole 12 (par 5)
Par | Blue Tees | Yellow Tees | White Tees |
---|---|---|---|
5 | 527m | 421 | 471 |
Fairway feeds to the middle on both sides. Second shot depends on length of drive. Laying up before fairway bunker (40m from green) is advised or longer hitters can go for it. Green slopes from back to front.
Hole 13 (par 4)
Par | Blue Tees | Yellow Tees | White Tees |
---|---|---|---|
4 | 302m | 286 | 292 |
Short dog-leg par four right to left. Bigger hitters use either an iron of fairway wood to keep the ball in play. Bunkers protect green so aim slightly left of centre to avoid the pot bunker on the right side of the green. Green is very undulated so read putt carefully.
Hole 14 (par 3)
Par | Blue Tees | Yellow Tees | White Tees |
---|---|---|---|
3 | 191m | 119 | 166 |
Very difficult green to hit due to narrow landing zone. Ball feeds towards bunkers on right side of green. If possible aim left centre of green and the slope will feed it toward the green. Green slopes back left to front right.
Hole 15 (par 5)
Par | Blue Tees | Yellow Tees | White Tees |
---|---|---|---|
5 | 493m | 412 | 480 |
Your second shot is dependent on the length of your tee shot. Laying up before the fairway bunker on left is advisable however for bigger hitters the green is reachable in two. Green slope from back right to front left.
Hole 16 (par 4)
Par | Blue Tees | Yellow Tees | White Tees |
---|---|---|---|
4 | 365m | 292 | 349 |
Dog-leg right to left. Second shot is to an elevated green so take a club more than what you need. Falls away to the left so aim right side of pin. Green slopes from back right to front left.
Hole 17 (par 3)
Par | Blue Tees | Yellow Tees | White Tees |
---|---|---|---|
3 | 135m | 119 | 128 |
Demanding par three. Very narrow gap to the green so landing it on the surface is advise. Green is very undulating so the ideal landing zone is the centre of green. Take a walk around the green to get a feel for the undulation and the distance of the putt.
Hole 18 (par 4)
Par | Blue Tees | Yellow Tees | White Tees |
---|---|---|---|
4 | 338m | 275 | 317 |
Left to right shaped hole. Second shot is to a very sloped green. Leaving the ball below the hole is definitely advised for an easier putt. Over shooting the green can be deadly. Slopes away severely behind the green.
