The Mount Maunganui Golf Course this week seeks to recognise the awesome accomplishment of Josh Geary who this past Saturday while playing in a group of four set a new course record 61, 11 under Par.
The previous course record of 62, 10 under Par was shared by I Stanley (Aus) 1975 (6056m) and T Kendall  1969 (6683m) and more recently by Josh Geary himself 2006 (6021m)

Josh has now bettered his previous best with a remarkable 11 under - 61 gross.

While playing in a group of four on Saturday morning, Josh and his group enjoyed excellent course and weather conditions. Josh Geary who was playing with Jason Madden, Bailey Smith and Ryan Steward, scored a 30 on the 1st 9 holes and a 31 on the final 9 holes to post his 61 gross. His entire group played well with Jason Madden scoring an excellent 69 gross.

Josh’s form has followed on from his strong showing in the Australian PGA at The Pines on the Gold Coast in December 2014, which was closely followed by his recent win at the Mount Maunganui Golf Club Pro/Am.
Josh Geary is preparing well for the New Zealand Open that will be held at “The Hills Golf Course” in Queenstown 12th – 15th March 2015.
