Mt Maunganui Golf Club is situated in the Bay of Plenty region of New Zealand. Mount Maunganui (The Mount or Mauao) is also the name of the extinct volcano which rises above the town. Port of Tauranga, where cruise ship berth, is also only a short drive to the Mt Maunganui golf course. Mount Maunganui has also become a thriving business and commercial centre and is the hub for all import and export trade for the Bay of Plenty. It is the home of one of the two busiest seaports in the country.
